Influenced by form and colour, symmetry and repetition, Ffrangcon designs combine contemporary simplicity and strength of line with dramatic colours, textures and surface pattern. The aim is to create a range of limited edition hand-made products using combinations of digitally printed textiles, vintage fabrics and repurposed leather.

Each vintage fabric bag is individually designed – the design process is dictated by the fabric pieces that are being used for each bag and the shapes are created using folds and minimal seaming wherever possible to avoid breaking the lines of the textile patterns.

Some beautiful but previously neglected vintage textiles are in a poor condition, which has led to the search for ways to incorporate damaged threads into the designs to create viable fabric pieces. The ‘Glitched’ collection uses visible darning, appliqué and drawn threads to create new random patterns in the traditional designs, celebrating the varied histories of these loved and well-used textiles.
